Warrior Forum Auto Blog Thread
This printed tutorial will demonstrate some of the techniques that have the most question in the thread "Check out my automated niche blog business model (it really works) " at the Warrior Forum.
This is a business model that member Keith Kogane very generously shared with the community and answered many questions
Adding the GoCode Plugin - Redirect HTACCESS
The first thing that we need to do is change out .HTACCESS file. The reason for this is the sole purpose of "Gocode" is to perform a redirect. First grab you current .HTACCESS file from your site and download it. If you can edit online feel free to.
Review the picture above exactly on what you need to do exactly and where to place the "Gocode" redirect information.
Using the Go-Code plug-in
To access the Go-Codes plugin you need to go the "manage" menu in wordpress which is No. 1 here in the image. You then click "GoCodes" plugin, to start using it and setting up. You will need to have the plugin installed in your WP-Content> Plugins folder and activated.
There will be a video of this printed process explaining how this all works so please see that for how to install plugins
Go-code plugin theory
The "gocode" plugin was initally designed to shorten the urls in your wordpress blog for linking purposes outside of your blog. Many people would use "Tiny URL" whenever they posted a long URL from their blog. However the creator of "Gocode" determined that would be ineffective should they ever decide to shut the "Tiny URL"site down.
So he invented the "gocode" plugin so that if you wanted someone to click a link to your site you could send the domain as www.mysite.com/go/keyword. Now when a person clicked on this link they would be directed to content on your site with a long url that might otherwise look ugly such as: www.mysite.com/category/month/day/year/keyword-word2-word-3-word4-word5-word6-word7.
The secondary function of the "go-code" plug-in is that it now becomes a link cloaker or redirect for your URL. As you will see in the next step below "www.mydomain.com/go/money" will go to the affiliate link "http://www.lynxtrack.com/afclick.php?o="
Go-codes plugin steps for setup
If the detail in image is too small to see click this link to see a larger version better viewing.
Here are the step by step ways to input a "go-code" so remember back to Step 2 the only thing we have done is create a cloaked url to our affiliate link to post on other blogs, websites, even our own website. At this point right now this has nothing to do with the plugin "Wp-O-Matic" and RSS feeds. However we just established the first step and the foundation for the next step which would be the "Wp-O-Matic" plugin.
WP-O-Matic Plugin
The "Wp-O-Matic" plugin. is accessed through the "Settings Menu" and then picking "Wp-O-Matic". The theory behind "Wp-O-Matic". is to take RSS feeds that you entered in the "Wp-O-Matic". Dashboard under a campaign. These entries from the RSS feed then become posts.
This works in conjuntion with the "Gocode" plugin by taking a word in your content and building a link to your "Gocode" keyword URL. Please review the pictures below and also there will be a video going through the process.
Please review the attached video for other items needed for the installation of "Wp-O-Matic". For instance you will need to complete more steps to install it that are not provided in this written tutorial at this time.
WP-O-Matic Dashboard
Some of the questions on the WF were related to how the "Wp-O-Matic". works with the "Gocode". If there is a need for more detail on other functions contact me and I can make those up.
At this stage I am editing a campaign, to show how the "rewrite" works as this is what connects to the "Gocode" for it to work as described in the WF thread.
Keyword Rewrite to GoCodes
I am hoping that between this document and the video that you can see the foundational steps that occur. This is how your RSS feed in "Wp-O-Matic". gets connected to your "Gocode" setup
