Wordpress Manual Installation Continued Part 3 – Here we continue our tutorial with the wp-config.php file.

Properly named wp-config.php file
This screenshot represents a properly names wp-config.php file.
Change the File Permissions of your wp-config.php file
We select the wp-config.php file and right-click it to bring up our menu to change the file permissions. We need to change the file permissions to "666".
Create a .htaccess file
Wordpress does not come with a .htaccess file. This file is important as we need it when we want to change our permalinks to make more friendly Search Optimized URL's for our website.
Open your notepad application and save the file as htaccess.txt
Upload the htaccess.txt file to your webhost.
Make sure your htaccess.txt file shows on your webhost exactly as shown above.
Rename our htaccess.txt file
Select and "right-click" the htaccess.txt file to rename it.
You will rename it to .htaccess NOTHING else is to be added, see the next step for what it will look like on your webhost.

Please ensure that your .htaccess file looks exactly like this on your webhost before you process any further.
Change the file permissions of your .htaccess file to "666"
Run the Installation Script.
See the next step. Please pay attention to whether or not you are in the root folder (www.yourwebsite.com) or a sub-folder (www.yourwebsite.com/manual)
Running the Installation Script.
Pay attention when typing in the above, and type it in exactly as you should depending on where you are putting your WordPress Installation. Hit your "Return" button to refresh the website.

1. Choose the Blog Title – This can be changed later so do not worry to much about picking this right at this time.
2. Choose an email that your Website/Blog will notify you at.
3. Check whether or not you want your website to be seen by Search Engines.
4. Click Install WordPress.

Make sure you enter this password into your notepad file or write it down so you do not forget it. You can change it later.

Just a reminder of updating your Notepad file.
Your WordPress Administration Screen
Ok your WordPress installation is almost complete. Login into the Administrator panel with the proper credentials from your Cheat Notepad file.
Properly Logged In
You are now at your Wordpress Installation Administration Dashboard. Click in the "upper right hand corner" to see what your Wordpress installation looks like.
